Is God calling you to help make history?

I fully believe you’re reading this because God purposely sent you here.

If you’ve reached this page, someone has shared with you the invitation to partner with us on a dream that’s over a decade old:

To plant the first Evangelical collegiate church that has ever been walking distance from the University of Notre Dame.

Students have always been able to walk to chapel. But never to an Evangelical church.

Until now.

Welcome to The West Wing

Highlighted are 7 student housing complexes:

- The 87

- Irish Row

- Irish Crossings

- Irish Flats

-Willis Street

-The Bend,

-The Overlook

Here, nearly 2,000 Notre Dame students reside. In the middle of all this, we have the amazing chance to replant our church, literal steps from their front door. And as you can see, the rest of campus is literally across the street. Only God could make this possible!

IS HE CALLING YOU TO PARTNER WITH US?

Total budget: $250,000

We anticipate that our total project cost will be around $250,000

Campus Kingdom Work

THIS IMPACT ISN’T NEW.

Over the last ten years, I’ve had the great honor of serving in various roles of campus ministry.

  • 11 years leading the Baptist Collegiate Ministry

  • 7 years ministering with the Football team Bible Study

  • 2 years leading the Notre Dame Christian Athletes, with athletes from nearly every varsity sport on campus

A dream finally ready to come true

Suffice it to say, we haven’t been sitting on our hands over the last decade, waiting for God to reveal his plan to build the kingdom. We’ve been faithfully serving in any way he’s allowed, believing that in his timing, he would show us what he’s been building behind the scenes. And it seems after all these years, the Lord is ready to open the door to the opportunity we’ve spent so long praying for: to replant our church a short walking distance from campus.

The owner of the building is enthusiastic about having a church there. The real estate developer is co-leading the football team bible study with me. The students we’ve polled are thrilled to have a church they can walk to. Now all we need to do is raise the funds to sign the lease, renovate the space, and launch. It’s a God-sized need. But oftentimes, God meets those needs by sending his church. That’s where you come in.

I want to thank you for reading this far. Perhaps it means that God is leading you to partner with us on this journey, or to share it with someone else who might want to join us as well. Any contribution of any amount will make a difference. Every investment is directly impacting the eternities of the members of our campus community! Will you join us in changing the world?

Not only are we seeking investments in the traditional sense, we are also in need of various goods and materials. If your church would like to donate any of the following, please contact pastor Sweh:

  • equipment/goods

  • Sound system equipment

  • Tech supplies

  • Hospitality materials, etc

email pastor Sweh at Sweh@theafterchurch.com for a copy of our “wishlist.”

Humble beginnings

Our first missionary flyer (2015)

We moved here in 2015 with empty pockets and a big dream: to have the first protestant church at Notre Dame. We quickly learned that there were more obstacles than open doors, and the soil was not ready to bear fruitful plants. So we set about tilling the soil in whatever ways possible.

We started as a Bible study in our apartment. We trained up many disciples, and commissioned them across the world. We learned the truth of JD Greear’s statement that an impactful church is sometimes measured in its sending power rather than its seating power. Former members of our church now reside in many states, and multiple countries.

For over a decade, we’ve invested in people, in the campus, and the difficult mission of planting a church outside of the traditional models of doing so. And God has been so faithful along the way.

Now will you partner with us financially to make history?
