A decade-old dream

I’m so glad you’re here.

If you’ve reached this page, someone has shared with you the invitation to partner with us on a dream that’s over a decade old: to plant a collegiate church at the University of Notre Dame. The first one in the history of the university! Besides the many catholic chapels on campus, there are exactly zero churches located a walkable distance from ND. Until now.

Humble beginnings

We moved here in 2015 with empty pockets and a big dream: to have the first protestant church at Notre Dame. We quickly learned that there were more obstacles than open doors, and the soil was not ready to bear fruitful plants. So we set about tilling the soil in whatever ways possible.

We started as a Bible study in our apartment. We trained up many disciples, and commissioned them across the world. We learned the truth of JD Greear’s statement that an impactful church is sometimes measured in its sending power rather than its seating power. Former members of our church now reside in many states, and multiple countries.

For over a decade, we’ve invested in people, in the campus, and the difficult mission of planting a church outside of the traditional models of doing so. And God has been so faithful along the way.

Over the last ten years, I’ve had the great honor of serving in various roles of campus ministry. Each year I’ve gotten to lead the Baptist Collegiate Ministry, which was my first ministry post. I spent 8 years working in various roles in the athletic department, and built connections that led me to having the honor of taking over the football team weekly Bible study. And two years ago, that led to me being asked to lead the Notre Dame Christian Athletes, which is attended by athletes from nearly every varsity sport on campus.

A dream finally ready to come true

It seems after all these years, the Lord is ready to open the door to the opportunity we’ve prayed for: to replant our church a short walking distance from campus. In a location we’re calling The West Wing, we have the opportunity to establish ourselves where the students are literally located right out the front door (pictured at the top of the page).

Welcome to The West Wing

In the red boxes, four student housing apartment complexes are represented: The 87, Irish Row, Irish Quarter, and The Outlook. Here, over 1,000 Notre Dame students reside. In the middle box, we have the amazing chance to replant our church, literal steps from their front door.

The owner of the building is enthusiastic about having a church there. The real estate developer is co-leading the football team bible study with me. The students we’ve polled are thrilled to have a church they can walk to. Now all we need to do is raise the funds to sign the lease, renovate the space, and launch. It’s a God-sized need. But oftentimes, God meets those needs by sending his church. That’s where you come in.

Total budget: $50,000

We anticipate that our total project cost will be around $50,000

I want to thank you for reading this far. Perhaps it means that God is leading you to partner with us on this journey, or to share it with someone else who might want to join us as well. Any contribution of any amount will make a difference. Every investment is directly impacting the eternities of the members of our campus community! Will you join us in changing the world?
